  • Four smooth, floppy-eared, snow-white rabbits clamber over each other in a burst of fitful fun. This box figurine was inspired by Peter's children's bunnies - Bullet and Maggie. Unexpectedly, Bullet gave birth to six babies, so Maggie had to be rechristened Maggie Boy. Both rabbits are immortalized in the interior. Peter says, "These smooth pieces are difficult for me because I really enjoy seeing how much detail I can get into a carving. But then, whilst the intricately textured boxes are fun to examine, the smooth ones are a joy to hold." The HK painters themselves got prolific with 10% of the pieces, coloring them in multi-colored hues.

  • NOTE: Because Harmony Kingdom is handmade, individual box figurines may exhibit slight variations. While the artisans do their best to ensure that Harmony Kingdom boxes look seamless, many pieces do look like two-piece figurines.
  • Harmony Kingdom’s artists often conceal a small motif on the box figurines they carve as a sort of “signature.” This identifies the piece as being their work and adds to the Secrets of the Kingdom. David Lawrence uses an acorn on most of his box figurines, and Peter Calvesbert uses a mouse. Many collectors enjoy searching for these small, hidden symbols of the artists.
