Details:

At the beginning of the 19th century, soap bars were stamped by hand with wooden stamps or with manual stamp machines with stamps made from brass. The brand or drawing was the signature of the soap maker. Rampal Latour has taken part in this tradition of creating and using many different stamps and has carefully kept most of them for 6 generations in its private collection. Rampal Latour has been in existence for 100 years in the south of France. Pre de Provence in collaration with Rampal Latour created a soap mold to duplicate and incorporate the old style and design of hte ancient soap stamps. A quartet of new soap bars were created using soap stamps designed between the 1920's and 1950's.
