• Peters gannet box figurine came about after watching a program about gannets and how they gracefully dive into the sea to catch fish. Gannet after gannet dived perfectly into the water and Peter wished that just one would do a bomb instead and make a huge splash. It never happened, so Peter decided to carve his own! The interior shows a fish looking up and realizing it is about to be flattened. The UK is home to two thirds of the gannet population, hence UK2/3 on the lid. Its Latin name, Morus Bassanus, is also inscribed.
