  • Ed has been desirous of adventure, so our hapless explorer, who bears a strong resemblance to Master Carver Peter Calvesbert, has returned to the African wilds in “Ed’s Safari V”, the fifth Small Treasure Jest in the “Ed’s Safari” series. Here, he has taken to the bay in a rowing boat. Unfortunately his oars do not reach the water because the elephant weighs down the boat’s stern. The fact that the boat is still anchored doesn’t help matters. Peter’s signature mouse, hoping to escape the havoc, is tucked under the quiet giraffe’s ear. The turtle recreates the famous Kate Winslet scene from the film “Titanic.” There were 70 random pieces produced with a Ed wearing a green hat instead of the red hat. This would be a unique and random find for collectors of this series!

  • NOTE: Because Harmony Kingdom is handmade, individual box figurines may exhibit slight variations. While the artisans do their best to ensure that Harmony Kingdom boxes look seamless, many pieces do look like two-piece figurines.
  • Harmony Kingdom’s artists often conceal a small motif on the box figurines they carve as a sort of “signature.” This identifies the piece as being their work and adds to the Secrets of the Kingdom. David Lawrence uses an acorn on most of his box figurines, and Peter Calvesbert uses a mouse. Many collectors enjoy searching for these small, hidden symbols of the artists.
