Part of the Karito Kids™ Adventure series, Nairobi Nightmare features Lulu Kibwana, an 11-year-old girl who is on a quest through Nairobi to clear her friend’s name after he was accused of stealing a famous statue. Taking the reader through privileged Nairobi as well as its slums, Lulu learns some hard lessons about trying to right longstanding wrongs, unfair treatment of the poor, and choices we all make in trying to help others.

As with all Karito Kids Adventures, the books interact with the Karito Kids’ website and allow kids to “activate” a donation to a children’s charity online.

The books are written in a style that blends fiction and non-fiction, taking the character through an exciting adventure in her home country and giving you the opportunity to experience the story with its own unique combination of landscapes, cultures, celebrations and beliefs.

These high quality, hard bound books are approximately 150 pages in length, and include a journal entry detailing real facts about the country and culture, written by each of the main characters.
