• Imagine if the most perfect nanny had a sister, named Dolly Poppins. What might a thoroughly modern Dolly carry in her bag? The interior of the bag reveals all: lipstick, false teeth, a cell phone, and containers of lotion and pills. The cat hopes to keep his catch away from the mouse who is fishing for it. The patterning on the exterior of the bag conceals the artist’s signature mark, an acorn (look near the mouse’s tail). This is the 114th piece David Lawrence has carved for Harmony Kingdom.
