Killian Reider’s passion for Chamilia comes from the fact that every single person who has a bracelet is the designer of his or her own jewelry. The wonderful beauty of the beads is that the different combinations can create thousands of unique looks.
For a decade after receiving a design degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Killian worked at a variety of fashion houses, but predominantly Polo, and easily transferred her design talents from clothing to jewelry when she came to Chamilia.
She finds her inspiration for the beads in things that have added meaning to her life and the lives of her customers. The cat bead, for example, was the very first in the animal series, because cats have always been an important part of her life. Whenever I look at that bead on my bracelet, I smile, because it reminds me of the joy Login and Mags bring to me. I also have “sister” beads on my bracelet, one for each of my two wonderful sisters. The best part of working at Chamilia is to see other people’s creations and know that the beauty of the design comes not just from the beads, but from the meaning associated with them. Every bracelet tells a story about the person who’s wearing it.
