The Best Comfort
Comfy stretchy fabrics maximize the contouring qualities of Bucky
pillows. Knit fabrics "give" more than woven fabrics
and nothing on a Bucky ever pokes, scratches or digs
into you.
The Best Fabrics
We're passionate about our high quality fabrics, from fleece and
faux suede to organic cottons - always easy care machine or hand
washable. They move and groove perfectly with our unique natural
fillings, keeping their great looks and soft touch for many years
to come.
What is inside my Bucky?
Bucky uses only the finest premium quality 100% natural fillings
in its pillow products. Depending on which Bucky you've got, the
filling is:
Buckwheat hulls - the small brown triangular husks surrounding
buckwheat groats. When milled, the hulls are separated from the
groats, the part we eat! - in buckwheat pancakes and kasha.
Whole buckwheat seeds - intact small brown triangular husks with
the buckwheat groat inside. In Bucky Hotties, they provide a durable,
moldable filling that retains heat or cold.
Millet hulls - tiny yellow round husks surrounding the millet
grain. Millet is a nutritious grain eaten around the world, but
it's also used as bird seed.
Are natural fillings
a new idea?
Natural fillings have been used in pillows all over the world
for centuries, probably millennia! Cavemen probably stuffed dinosaur
bladders with moss for a comfy night's sleep. In Asia, buckwheat
hulls have been used for hundreds of years as a filling for pillows
- it's quite a tradition in Japan. And in Europe since the Middle
Ages, millet hulls have inspired many sweet dreams. As far as
whole buckwheat seeds as a filling for microwavable pillows, click

What is my Bucky pillow
cover made of?
Bucky uses premium fabrics that look and feel good against the
skin, and yet are hardwearing enough to stand the rigors of everyday
life at home, at the office or on the road. Our easy-care fabrics
currently include fleece, cotton velour, organic cotton, wildlife
faux fur, and soft faux suede.
How do I clean my Bucky?
Follow the easy-care instructions that are sewn in every pillow
cover. Just unzip the cover and remove for washing. Don't wash
the filled liner. With the exception of the linen shades, all
Bucky fabrics are machine washable. If you must wash the liner,
simply empty the natural filling into a bowl, wash the lining,
and then use a funnel to refill your Bucky liner once it's clean.
Will the filling break down?
The durable filling resists breakdown and will provide years of
exquisite comfort.
